FOUNDER'S STORY
My Need To Craft
Hi! I’m Gloria Hood—retired teacher, proud mom, lifelong crafter, and the hands behind Sew Gloria Designs. My crafting journey started at just 8 years old, thanks to my grandmother who taught me how to crochet. I’ve been hooked ever since.
After years of teaching and making jewelry, I realized the real joy came from sharing my skills with others. What started as tutorials and handmade stitch markers quickly blossomed into a full-blown crafting haven.
This business is a tribute to my dad—a self-made entrepreneur—whose work ethic and legacy continue to fuel everything I do. I’ve built this with heart, hustle, and the hope of passing it on to my daughter one day.

THE BEAD CAFE
The bead cafe grew out of my love for crafting. It started out with creating beaded pens, crochet hooks and keychains to give as gifts. This soon grew into us sharing our love for creating these beautiful items into offering the materials and inspiring the passion in other artists to create their own art using our quality products.
